Slow Moving ‘Gravy Train’
So you have to have humor during these times while in the hospital.
Everyday, usually in the morning, you see a team of doctors standing outside of patients rooms giving status updates and information on each patient.
Sometimes you might see one team of doctors, then a nurse or three, then another team of doctors, the social worker might stop by or the discharge nurse.
I just call them the ‘Slow Gravy Train’. It’s almost like your door is a big revolving door. As soon as you see someone leave, here comes someone else. Your goal is to spend as minimal time in the hospital as possible. Get in and get out.
The hospital is not the place to get much rest, you go home for that. And even when you get back home, it takes a few days to get back on your schedule.
